A brand new travellers' lounge is currently under construction at Bristol Airport, set to open its doors in the summer. Situated on the first floor of the departure lounge, the new space will provide an extra 140 seats and feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows offering views of the Eastern apron (aircraft stands).
Passengers can already pre-book their access in anticipation of its summer 2025 launch. The lounge is divided into sections by screens, with a dining area equipped with breakfast bars, tables and chairs.
There are dedicated self-serve islands for tea, coffee and cold beverages, as well as a variety of hot and cold food options covering everything from breakfast and brunch to lunch, dinner, and light suppers.
In a statement, Bristol Airport said: "The new Escape Lounge will be inspired by its local area and will be designed to cater to all types of travellers, offering multiple zones suited for dining, working, and relaxing, including a cosy area with comfortable seating and soft cushions - a perfect way for couples and families to start their holidays.
"There will also be areas for business travellers seeking a quiet workspace.", reports Bristol Live. All with neutral decoration and ambient lighting. Access will be via a new walkway next to the Cabin bar. "
While construction is underway, the existing lounge will remain open for customers. The airport has promised future announcements regarding how the current space will be utilised.
Kate Gwyther, Head of Commercial at Bristol Airport, expressed enthusiasm about the latest development, stating: "It's exciting to see the next step of our multi-million-pound terminal transformation take place. The new lounge will more than double in size providing a relaxing atmosphere. This is one of the many changes customers can look forward to in the departure lounge, with more exciting news to follow."
Rob Hassard, representing CAVU – the company overseeing Escape Lounges – shared his delight: "We're delighted to be able to announce the opening of our new lounge at Bristol Airport, as well as provide travellers the opportunity to pre-book their visit ahead of the new space opening."
Emphasising the benefit for passengers, Hassard added, "A visit to the lounge ensures a smooth, relaxing start to any journey, providing a comfortable space to unwind before a flight. Our mission is to transform the airport experience, and we're thrilled to bring a new, elevated offering to Bristol and contribute to their ongoing transformation."
Passengers who are planning on flying from Bristol this summer can book their spot in the new Escape Lounge now. For further details, head over to escapelounges.com/uk/airport-lounges/bristol.
